Lækjarkot guesthouses and rooms is centrally located in central western Iceland on the main ring road (road nr.1) just 6km north of Borgarnes village and 74 km from Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. Our facility offers small cabins with two bedrooms as well as new twin rooms with full comfort and privacy. Borgarfjörður district offers something of interest to everyone. You can find a nice golf course near by as well as beautiful landscape; mountains, glaciers and one of the largest natural hot springs in the world at Deildartunga. Horse rides are possible at a local farm. One hour drive to the famous glacer Snæfellsjökull. At nearby Vatnshellir cave you can enjoy the scenery inside an ancient cave with ice crystalls and beautiful rock sediment formations. (Guided tours only). Accommodations Cabins / cottages Our cabins offer an excellent choice for the passing traveler who wants to spend a little time in the area. The cabins can accommodate up to 7 people if you want a small space and economy. An ideal resort for a family with children. A small kitchen and bathroom with a shower are included. Twin rooms with peace and comfort Our twin rooms offer excellent space for two people. A small kitchen unit with a refrigerator and kitchen sink is included as well as a private bathroom and entrance. Kitchenware is included as well as bed sheets, towels, comforters and duvets. Nice view from both types of accommodations. Internet service. Family suite: Check out our very nice family suite with private parking and entrance: Private bathroom, kithcenette and bedding for up to 4 adults or a family with 2 -3 children. Nice mountain view.
